We service all makes of fire extinguisher to BS5306 Fireline engineers are approved to inspect and maintain portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets. Fire extinguishers that are not maintained annually to the standard are no longer considered compliant.
Under the British Standard an extended service otherwise known as a discharge testing is to be carried out at the stipulated intervals. For water / foam / dry powder or wet chemical this is every 5 years and 10 years for a CO2. If the extinguisher is a powder or CO2 you will be offered a service exchange unit which will work our more economical than in the case of the powder emptying (not practical on site) and refilling or a CO2 returning to the factory for a vacuum test and replacing the valve.
Our Service Department will remind you when your annual service is due and make the necessary arrangements for an engineer to visit.
Furthermore we operate an on-line database which means all the information of your servicing (including call outs) and equipment including manufacturer, year of manufacture, next test discharge date and all information relating to each extinguisher and where it is located is maintained in our database and we can provide you with a user name and password in order to consult your records on-line. This is particularly useful to companies with mult-sites as at a glance you can see in real time when sites are due and be able to consult it anytime.
Please also bear in mind this provides an ideal opportunity for the training of personnel in the correct use of the equipment and will save you some money.
